Poem – What She Sees In His Eyes

WHAT SHE SEES IN HIS EYES

What she sees in his eyes
Is no longer love.
It is anger and indifference
at most
she would debate.
She tries so hard
to believe
that it is not hate.
What she sees in his eyes
bruises her soul.
He has emotionally detached
from her.
She no longer feels whole.
He was her everything
after God.
She was his queen.
He was her king.
Now he says
that he wants
to stop wearing
his wedding ring.
Does he mean this?
She cries and cries.
Why such betrayal?
Why, why, why?!
She no longer likes
What she sees in his eyes.
