JESSE’S DINER - Greensboro, NC – Restaurant Review

JESSE’S DINER - Greensboro, NC – Restaurant Review
JESSE’S DINER is a hidden gem, you guys! My family and I recently ate food from JESSE’S DINER for the first time and the food was affordable and delicious. We enjoyed a ten piece order of garlic parmesan chicken wings that tasted excellent. At Jesse’s Diner, 10 chicken wings are sold for $7.99 and twenty chicken wings are sold for $13.99. The chicken wings from Jesse’s Diner are sold in a variety of other flavors too – including Cajun chicken wings that I look forward to trying on another occasion sometime soon.
While the garlic parmesan chicken wings from Jesse’s Diner were noticeably flavored with salt, we also ordered some French fries and the French fries seemed completely salt free with packets of salt and pepper included to add to suit one’s taste.
We also ordered some biscuits from Jesse’s Diner at a cost of 79 cents each. The biscuits were also delicious and not overly salty at all.
Little packets of butter, grape jelly and ketchup were all included.
If you are an individual that enjoys eating breakfast foods at random times of the day, Jesse’s Diner in Greensboro, North Carolina is one of those great diners that serves breakfast all day.
One pancake from Jesse’s Diner costs around $1.69 and is served with butter and syrup. Three pancakes cost around $3.69. One waffle costs around $3.69. The breakfast food that we chose to order (even though it was after lunch time) was one order of French toast to share up, each of us taking small tastes of the French toast.
The French toast from Jesse’s Diner was delicious and also costs around $3.69. The add-on of having the French toast stuffed with strawberries is $1 additional. We got this option and expected fresh strawberries. It was strawberry preserves instead. Nevertheless, it was still delicious. The strawberry stuffed French toast was also served with a generous amount of butter.
We did not dine-in at Jesse’s Diner. Rather, we ordered from the restaurant food delivery service, Takeout Central. Jesse’s Diner food prices are affordable but takeoutcentral.com deliver service is a bit pricey. At times, Takeout Central will waive a $3.99 or $4.99 delivery fee with the availability of a coupon but there will still be a service fee and the tip to pay.
We do find Takeout Central’s service to be dependable when we use it but do not use it very often recently. With this order from Jesse’s Diner, I received a call from Takeout Central just to tell me that Jesse’s Diner was out of the bleu cheese dressing that I ordered with our chicken wings and would I accept ranch dressing instead? I said sure, no problem. It was nice to receive the courtesy call about it which is something that Takeout Central will often offer, even when there are the most minor changes / substitutions to someone’s food order.
JESSE’S DINER has such a plentiful variety of offerings on its menu. We are enticed to try various food items from JESSE’S DINER in the future. We were pleasantly surprised by just how delicious the food from JESSE’S DINER was and we look forward to eating food from Jesse’s Diner in the future. Every time you try a restaurant for the first time, you might wonder if you will really love the food or not. We were glad that we loved the food from JESSE’S DINER!

SPACE JAM Movie Review (1996 movie)

Movie Review of Space Jam the movie (1996 movie)
Space Jam (1996) is a movie that involves live action as well as animation.
Space Jam the movie stars NBA basketball star Michael Jordan at the height of his Chicago Bulls team fame. Actors who play Michael Jordan’s wife and three kids share more minor roles in Space Jam the movie.
In Space Jam the movie, Michael Jordan is depicted as a dedicated family man that returns home from team practices eager to spend time with his wife and children. His arrival at home after time away makes even the family dog overly eager to see him.
Meanwhile, in a cartoon universe, the famous and hilarious Looney Tunes characters including Bugs Bunny are under siege of sorts. The evil mastermind wanting to take over the Looney Tunes characters is in a mentality of “the customer is always right” and he wants to make a theme park more fun and exciting for the customers. Therefore, he is ready to more or less kidnap the Looney Tune characters and use them for entertainment in the theme park.
It is Bugs Bunny who speaks up to say that he and his friends cannot just be held captive as “slaves” without being given an opportunity to defend themselves and win their freedom.
Eventually, it is agreed upon that the Looney Tunes animated characters will fight for their freedom in a basketball game challenge against the minions of their evil opponent. How will they do this?
The Looney Tunes characters solicit the help of the basketball player Michael Jordan on Earth and befriend him.
Their opponent steal the talent of Michael Jordan’s teammates and colleagues through some type of magic that leaves the basketball player dumbfounded, unskilled and clumsy. Among these basketball players are Patrick Ewing and Charles Barkley of the Suns team and known to be among Michael Jordan’s closest pals.
Michael Jordan has sidekicks at his beck and call including a character played by actor Bill Murray. The Looney Tunes characters jokingly mistake Bill Murray for Dan Akroyd by saying, “Hey, look it’s Dan Akroyd!”
Basketball star Michael Jordan trains, coaches and encourages the Looney Tunes characters to be a competent basketball team, win the game and win their freedom. There is also a plight for Michael Jordan and his new found Looney Tunes character friends to help the other basketball players such as Patrick Ewing and Charles Barkley to get back their stolen talent.
Eventually, all the stolen talent is recaptured and harnessed into a ball that Patrick Ewing, Charles Barkley and the others must touch if they want to get their talent back. They are hesitant at first but they are encouraged by Michael Jordan to go ahead and touch the ball so that they can have their talents for basketball again.
Eventually, the buddies are convinced as they tell each other that they have tried everything else (including going to a fortune teller) and they all place their hands on the ball. They receive their basketball talents again and engage in some practice on the basketball court to make sure that everything is in working order for them.
The adventure comes to a close.
The end credits of Space Jam the movie features nice music that was much loved at the time (in the year 1996, the year of the movie release) including the song, “For You I Will” by singer Monica and “I Believe I Can Fly” by now controversial singer R. Kelly.
I rate Space Jam the movie 3 out of 5 stars. ***
